About the IHLS The Institute for Human Life Innovation (IHLI) is organized with the academic faculty at Ochanomizu university, who specializes in biological sciences and human life sciences. It was founded in April 2016, aimed at research and development for people to live healthy lives, as well as innovation for a safe and secure social environment. In April 2022, the name was changed to The Institute for Human Life Science(IHLS) due to organizational restructuring. To address social issues facing an aging society with fewer children, the IHLS has the following goals: Fostering healthy, vibrant, and active children Improvement of QOL throughout life and elongation of a healthy life-span.
