This information session was planned and held as part of the Tohoku University's 115th anniversary commemorative project. It was made possible through the efforts of many Indonesian alumni, including Alumni Association President Dr. Sri Harajanto, who was involved in the organization of the event. At the event, after a video message from President Ohno, Yumiko Watanabe, GLC Professor and Coordinator of the International Degree Program (Future Global Leadership), gave a presentation on study abroad opportunities at the University, focusing on undergraduate and graduate FGL courses. The presentation was followed by "Scholarship Information" by the Consulate of Surabaya and current Tohoku University Indonesian students, and "Introduction to Careers after Study Abroad" by alumni. The event was a great success, exceeding the scheduled time by more than 30 minutes. Currently, Tohoku University's Indonesian community of 120 students is the second largest on campus and the largest among Japanese universities. We realized that it is made possible by the strong support of our alumni living abroad.
