The center will host a lecture on March 5 to commemorate its opening, with two preeminent Japanese studies scholars - Carol Gluck and Michael K. Bourdaghs - sharing their outlook on the social sciences and humanities in Japan and around the world. They will also discuss the future of Japanese studies as a growing discipline. This is an English language event, with Japanese translation available. It is open to all, but registration is required.
